Chef Jason Manson's Ramadan and Raya Recipe: Aussie Beef Skewers
Dipping sauce
For the Sauce marinade - Mix everything in a bowl until well combined. Set aside.
Slice the beef thinly against the grains around 3-4 cm in length.
In a bowl, add in the thinly sliced beef, Hoisin sauce, white vinegar, soy sauce, BBQ sauce, spring onion, garlic, and ginger. Mix well and marinate beef slices for about 6 to 12 hours in a refrigerator.
Thread 2-3 slices of beef onto a skewer and repeat.
Heat up a medium sized pan and drizzle some oil. Make sure the temperature of pan is hot and the oil is slightly smoking. Place the beef skewers on the hot pan and cook them quickly about 2 minutes on each side in batches. You can also cook the skewers on a BBQ.
Let the beef skewers rest for 2 mins then serve on a plate with honey sriracha dipping sauce.
